The Story of the Movie
In search of work, Raja (Mithun Chakraborty) and his pal Charan (Satish Kaushik) arrive in a metropolis in search of work. They are taunted and ragged by Kallu Dada one day after failing to find work (Ranjeet). The fight becomes physical, and Raja emerges victorious.
As a result, Raja becomes the local underworld don, collecting protection money from shops. He also establishes a habit of having alcohol.
He meets Laxmi (Madhuri Dixit) and is attracted to her; he helps her when her father, Mohan, passes away by assisting in his cremation; he helps her again when Kallu and his thugs attempt to molest her; and he agrees to let her live with him after the municipality demolishes her hut. He gives up due to her influence.
They both decide to marry if things go well. On the wedding day, however, Laxmi’s old beau, a professor (Vinod Mehra), appears and proposes to her. Meanwhile, Raja has been arrested and is being imprisoned for the murder of Kallu.
