Sometimes the story of the movie touches our heart but actors fail to justify their roles. This movie is a great example of this. Raincoat is a Hindi drama movie which was released on 24th December 2004. This over is a short story adaptation of The Gift of The Magi by O. Henry. this film stars Ajay Devgan, Aishwarya Rai, and Annu Kapoor. No doubt the direction of the film by Rituparno Ghosh is up to the mark. Ghosh masterfully conveys the simple story of two former lovers who are brought back together by rainy weather. He doesn’t squander our time and money, as well as his own, on needless subplots, outside locations, or props. He makes one think of intricate issues and events that bring us together or drive us apart through a simple story. In this blog we are going to tell you the Raincoat Movie Review, so read this full blog to get the complete information.

‘Raincoat’ might be viewed as a character study as well. The characters of Manoj and Nirja are well-written. When we look at both the flashback and present-day characters, we can see that Manoj hasn’t changed much over the years, whilst Nirja buries her remorse while yearning for Manoj. Nirja is the one who has changed. In a film like this, outstanding performance is required, and unfortunately, neither Ajay nor Aishwarya is up to give a genuine performance. Aishwarya Rai gives her best performance to date, but she, like Devgan, appears to struggle with her role. Overall, this is Ghosh’s piece, and he gets the greatest credit for sensitively yet vividly presenting O. Henry’s work on screen. The writing is what gives depth and interest to the characters. Definitely a rainy day movie, but not everyone will enjoy it.
